Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Oral Surgeon role based in Ledgewood, NJ. The Oral Surgeon will perform surgical procedures including extractions, bone grafting, and pre-prosthetic surgery, while collaborating with general dentists and other team members on comprehensive treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include evaluating patients, reviewing medical histories, diagnosing oral and maxillofacial conditions, and explaining treatment options and risks. The role involves administering appropriate anesthesia, placing dental implants, managing postoperative care, and responding to complications in a timely and safe manner. The Oral Surgeon will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, follow infection control protocols, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive practice environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical proficiency in Oral Surgery and Dentistry, with demonstrated experience in common surgical procedures.
  • \n
  • Solid foundation in Medicine and Anesthesiology, including patient assessment, risk management, and safe anesthesia administration.
  • \n
  • Competence in Dental Implants, including planning, placement, and follow-up care.
  • \n
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school and completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
  • \n
  • Active New Jersey dental license and applicable oral surgery/anesthesia certifications in good standing.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures and build trust with diverse patients.
  • \n
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuing education, and adherence to all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards.
  • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary dental team and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting.
