Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, energetic part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to help our family during the weekday afternoons. This would be a great fit for a college student who finishes classes by early afternoon and is looking for consistent part-time hours. Schedule: Approximately 1:00/2:00 PM–6:30 PM, primarily Monday–Wednesday, with occasional additional hours as needed. Approximately 12–18 hours per week. We have three children, ages 5, 7, and 15. The primary childcare responsibilities are for our two younger children, including school pickup and their after-school routine. Our 15-year-old is largely independent but may occasionally need a ride to or from school, sports, or activities. Responsibilities would include:

• Light household duties before school pickup (tidying, laundry, dishes, organizing, etc.)
• Simple meal/snack prep for the family
• Picking the kids up from school
• Helping with homework and after-school routines
• Playing with and engaging the kids
• Occasionally driving to activities or appointments
• Being available to care for a child who is home sick from school when needed

We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, organized, and comfortable taking initiative around the house. Because this is a combination of childcare and family-assistant responsibilities, we’d love someone who sees what needs to be done and is willing to jump in and help. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. We provide a vehicle for transporting the children. References will be requested as part of the hiring process.
